STOCKTON – A teenager was critically injured and a woman was wounded in separate shootings near Stockton Arena early Saturday following a concert featuring rappers E-40, 2 Chainz and YG, authorities said.

The first shooting occurred about 1:15 a.m. in the 100 block of West Fremont Street, just east of the arena. A 33-year-old woman was leaving the concert when she heard several gunshots while walking to her vehicle, police said.

The woman then realized she had been struck by gunfire, officers said. She was taken to a hospital with a non-life-threatening injury, authorities said.

Several people fled the area at the time of the shooting, police said. Officers were unable to locate any witnesses and had no description of the gunman.

About 35 minutes later, a 15-year-old was shot in the 600 block of North Commerce Street, a block north of the location of the first shooting, police said. The teen and two 20-year-old friends were standing in the area after leaving the concert when someone inside a passing vehicle fired several rounds at them, officers said.

The 15-year-old was struck, police said. The teen was taken to a hospital in critical but stable condition, authorities said.

The vehicle was last seen fleeing north on North Commerce Street, but police had no description of the vehicle or its occupants, officers said.
