San Jose police say they have arrested a juvenile in Sunday's fatal shooting of a 20-year-old man.
And the Santa Clara County Medical Examiner's Office identified the victim as 20-year-old Ernesto Jaimes.
Although the medical examiner has yet to officially determine what caused the death of the San Jose resident, police said Jaimes was shot several times at about 4:40 p.m. after he drove up to talk to a group of young men in the 1400 block of Clemence Avenue, which is in the area of Story Road and McLaughlin Avenue.
The assailants, described as being in their late teens or early 20s, fled, leaving Jaimes lying in the street. He died at the scene.
San Jose police spokesman Enrique Garcia said this morning that police arrested a juvenile Monday in connection with the shooting. Garcia said he had no further information on the arrest.
