I disagree. Nearly everyone lies about something on their resume.

In fact, I'll state that you should lie. Lie about dates, how long you've worked at places (they like to see that you've worked for places longer than 1 year), lie about degrees, etc.

lol!! Well thats hard to get away with. I'm in General Marketing and my teacher she checks/grades our resume and tells us not to lie and sends it to the school board.(<Junior in High School). I wouldn't lie about degree's though,,thats out there..and they might do a back up check depending on the job. Then again, I choose not to lie on my resume because I get paranoid after telling a lie..

im hiring right now and don't plan on calling any references. I hate seeing plain ass resumes with no structure and multiple mistakes in them.
