recording vocals

whats a good program for recording your vocals on? my homie has everything we need to start makin music, just needs a program for doin this, so any feed back will be very apriciated

getting a good vocal take won't be based on your app. Proper mic technique, proper tracking (gain stage, good S to N ratio), good mic, good pre amp, good converter and most of all good performance should be a concern. No two programs sound alike due to the way they handle the summing buss and calculations.


But good applications are digital performer (mac), logic (mac), sonar, acid,cubase, pro tools, cool edit etc.
