Kurt Vile is lead guitarist in the band The War on Drugs out of Philedelphia, PA and even though they are pretty damn good themselves Kurt's "solo" work is where it's at in my opinion. While I really liked his previous albums, God Is Saying This To You and Constant Hitmaker, a lot both sounded more like collection of songs (albeit great songs) then full cohesive albums. With Childish Prodigy Kurt has really hit his stride and you can tell this is a well thought out album from start to finish. Matador made a great decision in signing him and I'm really looking forward to what he will put out in the future.
