I'm really likin that TFOT.. IDK why u guys dont.. I liked the first single that dropped.. it feels like Manipulator/ghost ship revised..


and that damn "Where the Wild Things are" song that plays during the trailer has got stuck in my damn head.. L-O.. V-E... haha.. didnt know it was the chick from the yeah yeah yeahs singing..

Washed Out is Ernest Greene, a young guy from Georgia (via South Carolina) who makes bedroom synthpop that sounds blurred and woozily evocative, like someone smeared Vaseline all over an early OMD demo tape, then stayed up all night trying to recreate what they heard.There’s a sense of longing and distance in Greene’s somber, filtered vocals, but it’s what he does compositionally that makes Washed Out stand out. Backed by gently pulsing, Balearic-tinged disco, Greene’s voice takes on a new dimension. Reminiscent of groups like The Glass and the Chromatics, Washed Out is the music to end your night with, when the city is quiet and the walk home, long.

Historical note: first time since years and last time ever PF performed the same night with their friends of Soft Machine (apart from Nick Mason who occasionally drumed for Wyatt in solo and Wyatt singing on Mason's Fictitious Sports). This is the second show (9pm) of that evening. The title comes of course from the fact this was a concert in benefit for former Soft Machine frontman Robert Wyatt who had broke his spine recently (he fell from a 3rd floor window during a party). Very last concert of that 1973 year for PF, before their 74 French tour. Last time a tune from the soundtrack of La Vallée was played. OBC here runs veeeeery slow, but it is not the tape, they played it like that! Really worth to get for OBC/When you're in, since those are the best versions in terms of SQ and probably performance too.
