Finally listened to The Great Misdirect teaser on BTBAM's myspace, holy shit is this album going to rule. From the sounds of it it is just as good if not even maybe better then Colors which I didn't really think was possible.

What happens when a bunch of australian art students move to england, find out it sucks, get addicted to heroin, and decide they hate everything? The Birthday Party. Recommended for fans of post punk and noise rock although they sound like nothing else. Lead singer Nick Cave's gone on to have a very successful solo career . This album from 1983, Mutiny/The Bad Seed, is a collection of two of their EP's and my personal favorite although many of fans split between the albums "Prayers on Fire" and "Junkyard." Really, all of them are awesome and worth owning.

I'm posting a couple youtube videos too since I can't really accurately describe their sound.

The Birthday Part ruled and their music still does to this day. Well everything Nick Cave related rules actually.

So, yeah. Everyone should check that album if they don't already own it or have it downloaded.
cosign and props.
In 30 years as a musician and probably 20 or so albums, nick cave's never released anything that wasn't amazing besides Noctrurama, and that albums not bad at all just not as good. And his books and movies/screenplays are all fucking awesome too. I think he's truly one of the greatest writers of the 20th century, regardless of the medium.

Damn, High Wolf has been on a role this year as he keeps on putting out quality material time and time again. This just might be his best stuff to date in my opinion.

High Wolf uses loops, percussive sounds, fuzzy keyboards and obscure sunken melodies to create a ritual space that combines aspects of exotica, ethno-flux, drone and minimalism while skirting the kinda haunted forests of tone.
