ive heard that biamped monitors are less accurate than monitors that need a separate amp for them, because sometimes the biamps wont pick up a signal, or something to that effect?
to add on to what kev ski said, ive read that the bi amped monitors provide a more accurate signal because the amps for each driver are designed for their own frequencies.
Price is all I can think of. Amplified monitors are inherently an integrated system, so the design engineers don't have to make comprimises to accomate a wide range of amps that the monitors could be used with -- the amp's already there! That being said, you'll save 50% or more by getting the same monitors in passive form and adding a separate amp.
Definately. You want to give people a reason to buy your product, not buy someone elses.
Another reason why so many rumors or inaccurate information gets spread around is because a lot of people simply don't do their homework before they speak.
it was actually a record company ceo from here, they werent trying to sell them....so im just guessing price is the only thing that made him think that....good looking out you all
That's why it pays to do a little research instead of just taking one person's advice or opinion. Get all the facts then weigh what you want against what you can afford.
