I hear you but that's not enough of power to hurt Holyfield. Ali only had that good 1-2 combo (jab followed by a right). He threw slapping hooks like Calzaghe!
Calzaghe?? Man are you nuts?! While Ali didn't have a ton of one punch KO power, the man did KO George Foreman, floyd Patterson, Bob Foster, stopped Joe Frazier, etc etc etc. Those are no easy tasks my friend.

We know Ali was a "freestyle" fighter, he always kept his guards down.
Man, if Ali could keep his guards down and beat Joe Frazier he could do the same against Holyfield. He kept his gaurds down when he wanted to (when he's moving) because he was athletic enough to make you miss. At the same time he knew when to keep his guards up (refer to his fight with Frazier, George Foreman, and pretty much every single fight when he's against the ropes).

Holyfield was a great counter puncher. Ali had trouble with classic type boxers like Ken Norton (who broke Ali's jaw with a left hook).
Ken Norton is considered on the hardest punchers ever so there is no shame there. He would have KO'd holyfield imo.

Ali always got caught with left hooks (like the one he caught from Frazier that knocked him down).
Frazier is a much harder puncher than Holyfield. Holyfield doesn't KO people very often.

Riddick Bowe knocked Holyfield out in their 3 fight and was the only one to knock him out to my knowledge. After that fight it turned out that Holy had hepatitis or something like that. He was gassed.
Yeah that's not the only way to beat Holyfield though, Ali is a fantastic boxer, obviously, and easily picks guys apart from the outside.

I could see Holyfield knocking Ali out though.
lol, come on now Ali was never KO'd in his career, well not until 1980 which was 20 years after he turned pro and waaaaaay past his prime. You're telling my that holyfield, a man with 25 KO's in his career, is going to KO Ali who faced some of the hardest punchers in the history of the sport and never was stopped?!? come on man, I know you like Holyfield but that's being extremely biased. Ali's chin is incredible, it's so good that's the reason he's all fucked up today (most men would have been KO'd by the shots he took but he kept going).

holy had more heart than Ali.
How you figure that? Remember Ali fought 15 rounds fights. His fights with Joe Frazier are a testament to how great Ali's heart is.

Ken Norton ko's Holyfield? LOL.... Lennox Lewis, Mike Tyson, Ray Mercer, George Foreman, Larry Holmes, couldn't even KO Holyfield let alone knock him down. And we've seen those wars he had with Riddick Bowe. Riddick punched hard, I don't even see Ali hurting Holyfield. I forgot to mention that James Toney Ko'd Holyfield too but we all know that wasn't the "real deal". Ken Norton had a weak chin, that's why he couldn't last with Foreman. Frazier couldn't even deal with Foreman either, Foreman kept hitting him on the top of his head knocking him down. I agree with you about Frazier having more power in his left hook than Holyfield, but that's all Frazier did was throw left hooks. That's it... Holyfield punched in combinations. He would have served Ali if they were both in their primes. Ali would have been running and probably wouldn've gotten booed for not wanting to mix it up. He wouldn't want any part of Holyfield.

Yep, good point. Tony, have you seen George Foremen vs Joe Frazier? Foreman beat the living shit out of him, and we all know how good and tough Frazier was.

So for Ali to beat and STOP Foreman is a true testament to how special ali was. Not only were his physical skills amazing, he was truly one of the smartest heavyweights of all time as well.

That version of Foreman was damn near unbeatable. The version Holyfield fought was not even close to being as good, all the old version of Foreman had was power. I mean he was getting his ass kicked by Michael Moorer before he landed that lucky punch that made him the oldest heavyweight champ. Without that punch, foreman would have never been champ again. And Moorer had a glass jaw.

Holyfield had more heart than Ali and that was a fact. Just watch Holyfield vs Riddick Bowe 1 or 3. And Holyfield was the first boxer that had the heart to stand toe to toe with Mike Tyson and whipped him and then was whoopin' him in the rematch till he quit.

What about Ali's wars???

Buster Douglas? Plus we all know post-prison Tyson was never the same as pre-prison Tyson.
