posting pics??

In order to post up an image, do I have to have it in a certain format? I tried posting it up from my pc, I typed in the path on my hard drive but it didn't post right. Do I have to have it in like jpg or tif? It's curently in bmp format. please help..

you have to upload it somehwere on the internet...easiest thing to do is attach it to your post...jpg is best for web

Okay how do I upload it to the internet? by this do you mean attaching it to your post? Okay say I have a picture on my hard drive, what would I have to do in order to post it up on a post?
your help is appreciated!

<look down right now under this box>
you see where it says "Browse"...That is where you upload pics here.It browse your hard drive and you pic the file you want to upload and voila!.Its here................It gotta be jpg or gif format though.............1
