If you don't want people running on the field then obviously the current punishments are not effectively detouring the action, so increased punishments would be in order.

I don't mind people running the field so I am not calling for increases in punishments.

everyone talks about how he deserved it since he ran onto the field but the bigger picture here is the increased usage of tasers by police across america. Just go to youtube and see the countless videos of people being tased for talking back to a police officer or simple little things.

Since 2001, over 350 people have died by tasers.

yeah, I mean it's better than shooting people I guess

I'm sure there's plenty of times where it's not justified... but I'm sure there's also plenty of times where it is... and the alternative would be to shoot

thats right if he didnt want to get tased than he shouldnt of ran out there.

awhile back a first base coach got attacked by a father and son in chicago and the police didnt do anything. so when some jackass runs out there they dont know what hes gonna do.

1 days ago there was a bomb found in new york city. all cops are jumpy right now.

its the society we live in nowadays, we let others control our lives, and we let others control our lives by force.

why hasnt anyone said, hey maybe that pig security should lose some weight, then he wouldnt have to use a taser. why isnt that a requirement of the job, to be fit.

why does america always take the easy way out and then ask questions later. what happened to hard honest work in this country, not just scams and shortcuts.

force will be used from now on. are we gonna rebel? hell no, cuz america is filled with a bunch of pussies that we can only become desensitized spectators with the mentality of "as long as it doesn't happen to me, im cool with it"

people losing their jobs, homes, lives, well fuck it, cuz, "as long as it doesn't happen to me, im cool with it".

were gonna have rfid chips and national ids and its gonna slip right under our noses. we've become desensitized, sub-human. we've lost that pyhsical human connection, face to face and replaced it with computer screens, cellphones, artificial connections that dont mean shit.

looking at and being in boxes all day long. sleeping in a room box, go in my car box, to work in a building box, sit down and look into my computer box, done back into my car box, to my house box, to watch tv box, a lil internet box, rinse repeat. this is life in the 21st century.

So you think the alternative is to shoot the 17 year old kid running on the field with a gun? lmao, sure man, sure.

Again, just go to youtube and see how quick police pull out tazers these days. Prior, either the police would try to calm a suspect down either by talking to them or just giving them time to vent, etc, or they could physically grab them or whatever, now it's like a cop doesn't like your attitude, bam, your tased bro.

No.

I wasn't referring to this particular situation when I said that... I'm saying in other situations when people's lives are in danger

of course they wouldn't shoot the kid in this situation

but what's the other alternative? tackle him? that skinny ass kid getting tackled by a 200+ pound security guard is gonna hurt too... and could result in injury as well...

I'm not here to defend cops... I know they can be assholes, and I know they can abuse their powers... although I don't hate them with a passion the way a lot of siccness members seem to

Maybe I'm just ignorant as to how dangerous tasers are. I know people have died from them, but I've always thought the percentage of people who died from tasers is fairly low... maybe I'm wrong...

At the end of the day, the kid is fine, and we have one less asshole to worry about running out on the field in the middle of a game... because I'm willing to bet that he won't do it again
