590 is awful. Average credit score is 675-700, a good one would be 700+, maybe even as high as 750+. You won't get shit with that score, find a badass co-signer.

Just pick up a credit card with an 12 month no interest introductory rate and switch your balance to a new card before the 12 months expires.

Pick a rewards card too because they will hook you up with airline miles or whatever when your transfer your balance to their card.

One of my dudes has been carrying something like a 12K balance for 3 years without paying a cent of interest just by getting new cards.

Just make sure you are saving up to pay that bitch off.
