Does anyone live in or around this area, or ever been to Pop's (venue) for a concert?

What kinda neighborhood is it in... Im trying to get the rents to let me go to the Strange Noize in Sauget but my dads a fucking tweak like, IDK what kinda hood it is and all that

Sauget is just across the river from STL right next to East St. Louis. Sauget is ultra industrial and as long as you hop right off the highway and into the parking lot you'll be cool. If by some reason you get froggy and leap anywhere around there you may end up in a world of trouble.

Word my freinds who live in alton with me went down to the pops for a show wound up lost in east lou walking in to a g station looking for a pisser wit my boy who has his face painted after the show. Thing to remember
1 gas stations in east lou have bulletproof glass and no public restrooms
2 Don't have a friend that is fucked up who gets out the ride slamming the door into someone else's car
3 Stay out east louis

Follow that and you should be fine

Stay outta East Saint if your white and it's dark outside. Unless you're cool with being approached by bugged-out crackheads. But, Pops is sick. Sauget's a hella small, but pretty nice little neighborhood with a population of like 200 or some shit like that. My grandma lives there, and I used to stay with her and shit. Just don't get into trouble because Sauget cops can be HUGE dicks. You're dad might be turned off at the fact that Pops is located right next to two strip clubs, too. lol

Thank you all for real. ANd yea he was telling me basically the same thing he was like MAYBE its ok around the venue and stuff cuz he was looking at the site and there having a Van Halen tribute band and he looked at it as older white people must live around there. But he was like, make a wrong turn and you might be fucked...

I dont care about the crackheads I got those by me too, i just car about my car and getting home haha. Thank yall for real.

Seriously bro...as long as you hop right off I70 onto the 3 or 203 (don't remember which it is on) and right into the venue you will be cool.

I'm from Chicago, went out to St. Louis, took a cab to Pop's for the Kottonmouth Kings/Twiztid show in '06. Cool experience, kinda upset I didn't get to hit up the strip clubs nearby haha.

I DID encounter crackheads...at my little hotel in STL later that night. Some dude trying to sell me a pipe for $5 or some shit.

Im about half hour 45 minutes away from the CHI... Are you gonna be hittin up Strange Noize in Sauget? and how far is Pops from the highway since everyone is saying hop right off the highway and to the venue

Sauget is almost a private owned city/town. Safe. Just off Interstate 55/70 on IL Route 3. It is right off the highway.

LOL @ E. St. Louis. Yeah, the East is not the safest place in the world, you will probably get jacked if you are around the wrong part......If you stay around the Casino area or drive down Route 15....you will be fine.

Pop's is dope. They have a balcony and stuff, pool tables, arcade games, snacks. It is kind of small, well they have a huge area to the right when you walk in and you cant see the stage that well so go to the left. I've smoked weed in there with out a problem as well if your a smoker and were wondering. It is a KMK after all.
