BLACK MIKEY(Have At It Ent.)-Born and raised in the streets of South East San Diego, CA as the youngest of three Black Mikey fell into a life of Gang Banging early on. Spending most of his early teens running the streets and dodging police Black Mikey who always loved music discovered his skill at rapping when in 1990 he recorded for the first time. Directly after recording that first song he entered into his first MC battle which he won. After winning that first battle and hearing the response he was getting from the fans who attended Black Mikey developed a undying passion for hip hop. With his newly released album "BLACKULA" Black Mikey set the west coast on fire and proved he is still a part of the west coasts elite emcees. One of the LIVEST lyricist out of San Diego BLACK MIKEY is sure to bring the house(of blues) down at this years SET THE BAR 2010!!
MESTIZO(Machina Muerte)- The Bona fide one of a kind multifaceted emcee who embodies the true sound of his California roots, but has acquired dexterity from all the city's Like Chicago and Phoenix, he has known to call home. Born to a Filipino father from California and a Sicilian mother from New York, this Bay Area native is the living definition of his name... MESTIZO. The Tagalog and Spanish literal translation for of "mixed races" and he is the spokesman for the new breed of human and the new generation man. Mestizo has acquired the respect and admiration of his peers and elders alike, from Battling and Freestyling to writing and recording, Mestizo known for his savage ability for emceeing. A seasoned road warrior, who has tour the US, Europe and Japan, many times over, Pumping fire into the blood of his audience and creating a whole new fan base. Now on his Senior album Mestizo's movement is picking up the momentum it needs to make the impact he is aiming for. Mestizo exemplifies the power of word and applies old methods of guiding the people to truth through speech. Mestizo carries the torch for tradition as the many great emcees before him.
ODESSA KANE- Original member of MASTERS OF THE UNIVERSE and One of the MOST slept on Emcees out San Diego, Odessa Kane has proven time and time again that he is not to be fucked with on the MIC. With 6 years of active duty in his local scene under his belt that compliments the five years of battle domination, it's no wonder that he has earned respect from peers, veterans, and up-and-comers alike. NoCanDo's track record consist of released collaborations with artist such as; Subtitle/Gold Standard Laboratories, Thavius Beck/Mush Records, Aceyalone, Murs/Living Legends/Def Jux, Lucky I Am/Living Legends, Busdriver, Abstract Rude, 2mex/visionaries, LMNO/visionaries, Pumpkinhead and many others. He has held his own performing on bills with such big names as MF Doom, Supernatural, Cee Lo Green, Cypress hill, Snoop Dogg, Souls Of Mischief, Typical Cats, The Chicharones, Grand Buffet, The Visionaries, Living Legends, Aceyalone, Nancy Sinatra, Rock Band the "Fucking Champs", and hes also one of the few performers to open up for the electronic band Autechre.
