I WAS KINDA LIKE WTF AT WOO-JIN TOO AT FIRST BUT THATS THE KINDA FUCKED UP TWISTED BAD GUY MORE MOVIES NEED.

The Vengeance Trilogy
Sympathy for Mr. Vengeance (2002)
Oldboy (2003)
Sympathy for Lady Vengeance (2005)

Oldboy is the best IMO but they are all great.

Parts of Ichi the Killer are corny as fuck but overall I enjoyed the movie. I've watched it three times because a couple other people wanted to check it out and I would again if someone hasn't seen it but I don't think I'd ever sit down and watch it again for the hell of it.

Those parts are more comical than corny, but thats Japanese culture. Very dimwitted , almost cartoon, comedic values in fucked up movies. I think thats why i like them so much.

Mr. Vengeance is the "darkest" feeling one if that makes sense. Lady Vengeance is "graceful" in a way and kinda shits on religion, which makes me think you like it the most.

I liked Oldboy the best, and the other two are very close seconds.

Just a heads up, there is a "black and white" version of Lady Vengeance that is pretty cool: it fades slowly from start to finish, from color to black and white. You can find it online if you look hard enough. If not, I have it on my PC at home and may be able to up it for you.

Yeah I've seen enough Japanese movies to know what they find comical. I still think those parts were pretty fucking corny though going by my own sense of humor.

Watched this in Germany. Original with subtitles. There was no promotion or anything else for the movie, but I had read about it in a newspaper. Went with a homie. We were the only people in the whole theater.

Makes me sad thinkin about all the bullshit movies we get shoved down our throats cause of the promo and really good movies fly by without anybody noticing them.

One of my all time favorite movies EVER. The others from the trilogy aren't on the level of Oldboy though. I need to watch them again.

Sympathy for Mr. Vengeance (2002)

Sympathy for Lady Vengeance (2005)
If anyone can upload or post a link to these two movies I would appreciate that, and if they can either be the dubbed versions or with hardcoded subs that would be fantastic.

I found both of them on a different site but with out subs and in korean. I don't want to mess around with finding subs, adding them, etc. too much work and I've had bad experiences in the past, so hardcoded please

Fuck...good luck man! Finding anything hardcoded is a pain in the ass, especially since the movies are older.

I can upload the version of Lady Sympathy I have at home for you, where the subs are encoded into the movie....at least i think they are.

Mr Vengeance may be a long shot, especially if you have already looked and came up empty. I dont know how to rip DVD's, other wise I would.

Sympathy For Mr. Vengeance is my favorite. I love Oldboy--it's still one of my favorite movies and introduced me to Korean cinema--but Mr. Vengeance's plot seems a bit less contrived.

2-0-Sixx, you'll have a hell of a time finding hardcoded subs. Are you familiar with Matroska video files (MKV)? They often come with subs in the video file itself (rather than in a separate sub or srt file.) This is preferred to an AVI with subtitles burned onto the video itself. In my experience, MKV are usually used for movies in HD. The problem is that since these files are so big (usually between 4 and 6.5gb for 720p rips) they usually require more download links and, ideally, an account to some file-sharing site.

I can give you links for this. I can also give you dvd rip links with subtitles in a separate file. At least you wouldn't have to go search for subs. All you have to do is name the subtitle file the same as the movie and keep both in the same folder. Then play the movie with VLC Media Player, which is really the best media player around. I believe the subs should auto load if you follow those instructions. But if I am mistaken, just click the video tab at the top of the player, and you'll see "subtitles" on the drop menu where you can select them.

Anyway, let me know if you want any of those links. Rapidshare and Megaupload are common ones I can get.
