My boy says that NCAA football changed its game length to four quarters from two halves in the last ten years. I say it happened way before that, if ever... What's the verdict?

If it happened, it happened WAY before the couple of decades. It's been 4 quarters ever since I've been alive.

Basketball has experimented w/ going to 4 quarters, they did some non-league games in pre-season NIT tournaments in 4 quarters a few years ago, but I think they're happy w/ the two halves system.
