Mixer to pc ?

i got a mackie 16 channel like this one

im going to purchase a sound card tommorow how do i hook up to my mixer

heres the soundcard im going to get

I highly recommend you look into other soundcards before you move on. You can hook it up a few ways, through Tape Out (RCA) or through the Main Out which would be the 1/4" jacks.

i have my Mackie 12-channel mixer hooked up to a Creative SoundBlaster Audigy 4 (good soundcard in my opinion)...i have the Main Out connected to the Input 3 on the breakout box via RCA (Tape) jacks, and i have one of the outputs on the pci card (there's 3) connected to channel 5-6 (Line In) on the mixer for playback in the headphones...channel 5-6's Mute & Solo buttons are pushed...
