All I know is, Garcia is protected the same way Leo is protected. Same way Floyd has been protected. That's boxing.
Let it go man. Garcia was the underdog against Matthysse and Amir Khan. Those are two very good fighters. Leo has never came close to fighting anyone 1/4th as good as those guys.

And then Salka? Lol

That's boxing these days, fighters are protected.
Yeah that fight sucked ass but it was a non title fight and a voluntary fight after he beat the likes of Amir Khan & Matthysse and he's fighting Peterson next. Leo has fought nothing but Salka's his entire career. See the difference?

Let me ask this, who is really wanting to fight Garcia that's being pushed aside? Herrera? And...?

Garcia might be in line to fight Pacquiao (doubtful) or move up to fight a lot more names at 147lbs. I hate some of his opponent selection, but he fought decent fights so far. No one really wanted to fight Matthysse and he beat him a lot easier than most of us thought he would.

I hate Garcia but I had to give him props for beating Matthysse. Everyone wanted Matthysse to knock him out and thought he would, but Garcia beat him pretty easy.

What I don't like is what the WBC is doing. He hasn't had a title defense in a year and the Peterson fight is at catchweight of 143 so neither title is on the line, it's ridiculous the WBC allows that to happen. He's clearly intending on moving up to 147 anyways so that title needs to be stripped or vacated.

Pacquiao Requests Hefty PED Penalty in Mayweather 2/16/2015 .

By Edward Chaykovsky

In 2010, a potential Floyd Mayweather Jr. vs. Manny Pacquiao fight fell apart over the Filipino star's refusal to take part in a random drug testing protocol. This time around, Pacquiao is putting his money where his mouth is. Not only has he agreed to Mayweather's demands with respect to drug testing, Pacquiao also insisted for a clause to be included in the contract which cracks either fighter for a fee of $5 million dollars in the event of a positive test.

“We’re almost there...I have agreed to all their demands,” Pacquiao the Philippine Star. "In fact, it was me who requested that the contract include a $5 million fine for anyone who would fail the drug test."

The two sides are still negotiating for a mega-fight on May 2nd at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. On Sunday, Mayweather rejected reports that a deal was reached and Pacquiao earlier denied that he signed a contract. Both fighters are hopeful that a deal is finalized.

Insiders are viewing this week as a "make or break" period for the fight negotiations, which have dragged out for several weeks. Most of the terms have been agreed up on but there are still a few remaining issues between the fighters, and their respective networks, CBS/Showtime (Mayweather) and HBO/Time Warner (Pacquiao).

How big is this fight? The Boxing News Thread has 22,000+ posts since 2008.

This thread already has almost 1,100 by itself. Not to mention all of the posts about this stupid fight in the Boxing News Thread. That says a lot. This damn fight hasn't even happened and we talk about it way too much.

5 years of waiting and speculating will do that. If they don't fight now, let them both burn in hell lol

Seriously though it seems like mission impossible just for them both to sign a contract. I heard today though rumor is Manny has already started training for the fight
