UPDATE - 2:30 p.m. Police on Friday still were not releasing any details about the case of a man and woman who allegedly stabbed one another during a fight at their Village I home. Police have not released the names of the couple or their address. Police did say the husband remained hospitalized.

A married couple stabbed each other in their northeast Modesto home, and the husband is hospitalized in intensive care, police said today.
Police did not disclose either the names of the couple or their address other than to say they live in the Village I development.
The incident was reported about 5 p.m. Wednesday when police received a call from a neighbor that a man was lying on the ground, bleeding.
Police spokesman Sgt. Ed Steele said the woman was taken to a hospital, treated for wounds to her hands and released.
The husband was taken to a different hospital, where he was in stable condition and was expected to survive, Steele said.
Investigators are trying to piece together the incident, reviewing the crime scene and interviewing witnesses.
Steele said it’s too early to determine what, if any, charges will be presented to the District Attorney’s office.
