Fam, he is in financial ruin so maybe he would be better off if one of us were his financial adviser. What does it do for his legacy? It puts an asterisk in his record and it raises a question of the two best not fighting but it doesn't tarnish his legacy.

At the end of the day BOTH have made valuable contributions to boxing, BOTH have made money and BOTH have been champions in various weight classes and hold records. But, they do not NEED each other.

yes they do, because there's always gonna be that "what if" factor when they retire, especially on floyd's resume.

A what if or asterisk does not mean you need someone. Floyd and Manny will go down in history regardless of if they ever fight. Their legacies are set. They don't need each other.

I've never seen so many judge a career as much as Floyd's. the most often thing said is he picks and chooses when he fights his opponents and who he fights as of recent years. He fought at catchweight and if he does fight Khan then people would be like what? Fighting Manny is something people been wanting for many years and even the WBC had enough of the "ducking" and made Manny #1 after they named Floyd Supreme Champion. The truth is they need eachother and we boxing fans would love this too. Floyd was asked on an interview recently about fighting khan and he still brought up Manny's name. They both do it. If he decides to drop the 147 belt then showtime will get pissed cuz another belt will go to tha hands of HBO. If its about money, Floyd does it better. But anything else puts him in a position to get viewed as a hypocrite that only cares about himself and his image. Trust me, they need eachother
What you don't peep is this...Manny and Arum don't want to be ranked #1 behind Floyd...they not gonna force the fight...they asked Arum about it and he said he's not gonna deal with that...(Mayweather)...and I bet you after Pac fights either Bradley, Rasalan, or Marquez...they gonna avoid Floyd...period.

How the fuck is Manny gonna fight period anymore if hes dead broke? Seems to me hes fucked in the game. I guess his Top Ranked contract is just about up at the end of 2014 and he can maybe overcome this debt by being his own promoter but it really seems like hes in deep shit and how could anyone continue fighting in this kind of situation?

The Bay Area @The Bay Area of course Arum said that, since Schaefer already said they won't do business with Arum. But I thought Floyd is his own boss, why would Schaefer speak on his behalf?

Showtime's Espinoza issued a statement for the "Floyd fight" to Arum to contact them so they could get Pacquia on board...Richard Schaefer is Golden Boy Promotions not TMT so if he is not doing business with Arum Floyd isn't bound to Oscars company...he is bound to Showtime.

But the network wars is actually a lot bigger than the Floyd Manny rivalry. Hbo gets way more ratings than showtime and Bob is a businessman. And what you just said, go tweet that to Schaefer

The cash cow Mayweather doesn't chase the B-side. The B-side doesn't make offers or set any rules. Those days ended with a Marquez right hook. TMT, Showtime, and Golden Boy makes the rules.

Showtime boxing ratings are up for all of its boxing programs and they sold over 3 million $70 PPVs. Plus here is the real kicker Showtimes stock is up too. I say great job Showtime. HBO did a good job too other then PPV.

I agree with you on everything, but The Bay Area @The Bay Area say GBP doesn't have a say in it. The network war is making a lot of fights not happening not just Floyd vs Manny. What I really think is gonna happen is Floyd will fight Broner next cuz like I said before if he fights Khan next it wont look good for anyone involved as it won't reach 1 milli buys just like the fight vs the Ghost. Next year for Showtime their ppv's look like it Floyd vs Khan, Canelo vs "not Cotto". That can make people lose interest in what Showtime is doing with boxing let's be real here. Showtime had a better card last week but HBO still won the ratings war and also had the fight of the night.

Brandon Rios failed post fight drug test

Rios, who passed four of the VADA-administered tests leading up to his match against Pacquiao, failed the urine test afterward. He tested positive for the banned substance methylexanamine, a stimulant that is commonly known as dimenthylamylamine or DMAA and has been used in dietary supplements.

DMAA being a banned substance is ridiculous. It's more of them following the FDA rather than looking at how "enhancing" it is. He probably just took the wrong pre workout formula. This is one where I will believe that he didn't know he was taking it.

Sucks for him. Now a bunch of people will run around claiming he cheated and uses steroids.
When it's just some cheap ass powder that very few people, if any, would buy it on it's own through the black market.

Ya, used in conjunction with other things (ie-caffeine) it gives you a nice energy boost.
It used to be in a lot of pre-workout supplements, Jack3d for one, until the FDA stepped in and said that some people had bad side effects on it.

The stimulant was banned after the FDA dug into it. It's really not that strong. I would get more stamina downing a 5 hour energy shot. It's just that FDA banned it, so obviously sports follow.

Just saying, no one would go "hey, see if you can get me a bag of DMAA, I love that stuff".
I've never seen it sold other than in pure bulk so people can manufacture their own supplements.
