I'm not sure who all was on this contest while it was going on, but Loud.com had a contest where the winner got $100K and a deal with SRC Records (home of David Banner, Akon, etc.). The contest is almost over now, but they're annoucing the semifinalists now. The finalists are Drop (http://www.myspace.com/dropthugfella), South Carolina's Dirty Rap (http://www.myspace.com/DirtyRap), and The Franchise King (http://www.myspace.com/lovefranchise), who's from Boston. I think they're all dope from what I've heard, but as of now, I'm thinking Drop deserved the first place he won, with how crazy his flow is and his versatility for different subject matter.
