Lil Wayne has decided to follow the lead of his protege Drake in having a branded digital radio station. Unlike Drake's OVO Sound radio, which is on Apple Music, Wayne announced several days ago that his station, Young Money Radio, would be on Dash Radio.

Dash is an internet radio station launched by DJ Skee in 2015. It already has partnerships with many artists and labels, including perpetual Forbes Cash King Tech N9ne's Strange Music. That label runs Independent Grind Radio, which focuses (as you might guess) on independent hip-hop artists.

Wayne is still in a legal battle with Cash Money founder Bryan "Birdman" Williams, one that has now raged for several years. The fate of Lil Wayne's long-anticipated and long-in-the-works album Tha Carter V hangs in the balance.

The satellite station seems to be one of several ways Wayne is looking to gain revenue since his recording career is in enforced hiatus. There was talk last year of him having a reality television show, though that has not yet come to fruition.
