always rely on dumb motherfuckers like kanye to spread their political ideologies on airtime thats supposed to be productive rather than discuss the hurricane relief effort.

You voted Bush because you're a fucking idiot. Hip-hop Republican is an oxymoron.

I agree that Kanye is a dumb motherfucker; however there is nothing wrong with using airtime to send a political message to people.

sure, use airtime at the fuckin MTV Movie Awards or something, not serious business like this hurricane crisis. imagine if Kanye was doing an interview on 9/11 and he said "this is bush's fault", its no different, its still an attrack on your own fucking country no matter how you look at it.

do that shit on MTV, not on something legitimate and good intentioned like telethons and donation drives.

besides, if they wanted to hear his opinion, they'd ask him for it.

this only contributes to those trendy bush bashers the other guy mentioned. "ohhh kanye says fuck bush! hes a genius, he sold a few records, he MUST be right!"

So saying a political message should be dedicated to MTV music awards and not CNN, MSNBC, etc.?

imagine if Kanye was doing an interview on 9/11 and he said "this is bush's fault", its no different, its still an attrack on your own fucking country no matter how you look at it.
Are you saying criticizing the President is an attack on Amerika?!?!? If not I don’t understand what point your trying to get across. 9/11 and the hurricane are completely different, although you can make a strong case that the Bush Administration is partially responsible for 9/11 (the failure of analyzing scores of intelligence, etc.).

besides, if they wanted to hear his opinion, they'd ask him for it.
They didn’t want opinions; he was supposed to read a teleprompter which is why he used the small amount of time to make a political statement. If it was an interview with Larry King or something like that, saying what he said would not have been as shocking and would not have had the same effect.

this only contributes to those trendy bush bashers the other guy mentioned. "ohhh kanye says fuck bush! hes a genius, he sold a few records, he MUST be right!"
So it's trendy to bash bush? People don’t have 1,000 legitimate reasons to bash bush? Recent polls show that Bush only has a 36% approval rating in America (I’m sure now it’s much less, in the mid to high 20s) and I don’t think Amerikans disapprove simply because stars like Kanye west criticize him. There are tons of fucking reasons such as the Iraq war, the economy, etc.
