Mike "Johnny Grunge" Durham was pronounced dead on arrival at an Atlanta area hospital this morning.

The only available details were he was at a friend's house in Peachtree City, GA, and was gasping for air and rushed to the hospital. The preliminary diagnosis from the hospital is that it was said to have to do with complications from sleep apnea.

Grunge and the late Rocco Rock (Ted Petty), as the tag team of Public Enemy, were the first major stars created by ECW in a program against The Funk Brothers. They became ECW's most popular act, to the point they were subject to a bidding war of sorts between WCW and WWF. However, taken out of the ECW environment, they weren't as successful.

Grunge, whose age is believed to be 39, was said by friends to have never been the same since Petty's death.

RIP.

Sad to think we've lost both of those guys =( . Neither was even in their late 40's. In all honesty this is really beginning to get scary. RIP Johnny Grunge

Every wrestler dies from heart problems.

Thats bc they bodies be too big for tehy hearts and they body asks for too much blood from the heart and after years the heart valves start to wear out then the heart gets weak and stop. Remember the heart is a muscle. Thats why its not good to be all swole after you hit your thirties.

OR

Some just die from years of drug abuse that catches up with them

Damn didn't know both of them died. A lot of these cats live a very unhealthy lifestyle though, so I ain't surprised when I hear about a wrestler dying young.

makes ya wonder how people like ric flair still do it...
Ric's never been a super buff guy, though. Guy's in the WWE now will have trouble since being a bodybuilder is so much a part of the image. In 10-15 years, current WWE guys will be dropping like flies.
