he used to be named dj irv, and thats how he got his foot in the door...he then got a job as an a&r for i forget which label...he got much respect for not bitin his tongue, and tellin his bosses what he really thought of artists...he did bring darkman x and jigga to def jam, and introduced his first artist, ja rule, on that one jay-z song back in the day, which launched murder inc....i read in a interview he pulled 8 figures last year (for all you non edumacated fools, that over 10 mill)...and plans to have over a 100 mill in 2-3 years...there you have it...too bad murder inc. is the wackest label in the biz right now (in my humble opinion)

He has a ghost producer that goes by the name of Seven (or something like that), and I doubt he's ever made a beat by himself.
Yeah, he was responsible for bringing the Ruff Ryders and Roc-A-Fella to Def Jam but was never credited, so he began his own label with Ja Rule named Murder Inc.

I think it's cool he's getting his money, but listen to the songs... he's basically making money from some catchy, shitty songs. Now I know why he thinks he's some big pimp...

AWFUL

RECYCLED BEATS FROM THE MID 90'S!!! And people acting like they BRAND NEW songs. But he's doing his thizzle so if he knows how to cater to what the radio listeners want, keep doing it.

i'd like to see them show a little love to the ones that blew them up in the first place and release a single not directly aimed at the ladies. it wouldnt hurt them. actually i think they are burning themselves out and losing a lot of credibility in the process by not releasing at least one of the more street oriented tracks from their recent albums. the chick songs are cool and all but damn i wanna hear some other shit when that rare occasion arises where i peep the radio. i think its going to backfire on them if they release another ja rule/(fill in any female artists name here) track before they take it back to where they came from. good label though, i wanna see them continue to succeed.
