i was reading FB posts from a few friends who keep in touch with people in iraq on local new stories in ethnic areas...the small towns and regions are using armed guards from the village, in uniform and on patrol thru out the whole settlement and on the perimeter, it never used to be like that, go read about Duhok and the areas around Mosul...its a mess now

my ex gf is from Duhok and has family there now...they dont sleep comfortable, sure they have security forces patrolling the place...but how is that even security? people walkin around armed to the teeth in droves just out and about....curfews and lock downs when shit happens, bullets and bombs...

anyone that thinks it was worth goin to Iraq and destroying everything they had is delusional

go read about the museums that were ransacked and how 3-4 thousand year old artifacts got smashed and broken, not one peep is made about that, but a few dorks fall thru the roof at some Egyptian museum and its fuckin global and viral in a heartbeat

Na I don't think it was worth it at all man not even close, but you can't keep throwin good money after bad. We shouldn't have went in but we did and at that point you can't invade twice and not come out with the leader head on a stake.

Sometimes you need a cutthroat ass leader to keep all these tribes and shit in check. I think that's what your drivin at and without that leader a power vacuum and then some wildin out goes on. This might be the case when we leave and it won't be good but at least America is on the other side of the world (lol kinda) and our troops will be safer.

let's not pretend the US doesn't make money off the drugs already either directly or indirectly. There have been countless proven cases of the US/CIA smuggling in various drugs into america and various other things and of course turning a blind eye, while busting the street sellers and users who are sent into the private prison industry. $$$

There was never really an issue with the drug flow into america until the dead bodies started popping up. Still not enough to be a huge concern as far as a war goes. Maybe at some point some small special ops type military action. But I doubt that.

Even with Reagan it wasn't about the drugs it was about people getting too powerful like Escobar, etc.
