Yen is a old bastard who doubts himself too much...Hes nearly 50 years old and just a couple years ago he was discussing retirement but now he has a movie lineup to keep him occupied for 2 more years...Don't be suprised if theres a Ip Man 3 by the end of 2011/2012..

thanks for the info. hopefully they write a good script. the story line should be the best of the three. if jackie chan is still kickin and hes 10 years older. yen should mos def keep making bad as films.

I just watched it. Not as good as the first, but good nonetheless. I didnt like how they made the white guy seem like he was so "deadly" with his skill. I think thats when 'Hollywood/Movie making" came into play. Ip man couldve fucked that white boy up quick, they dragged out that fight scene just to add more plot to the movie...

Just watched Ip Man 2 on blu-ray, there was soooo much action I had to take a few breaks and it was nonstop....Great movie, its just barely not as good as the first but still a classic....

Some more of my vent......

How come earlier in the movie Ip Man takes on 30 muthafuccas with machetes, but then the white boy who was a regular boxer was givin Master Yip problems? Good movie tho, I appreciate whoever brought Master Yips story to film, it let us get a glimpse on the man who trained Bruce...

and jumped on board. WITH A FEW MINOR CHANGES TO THE STORY OF COURSE.. TO MAKE IT MORE.. HOW SHOULD WE SAY.. "PALATABLE" to a western audience.

yo i wonder if Bruce Lee was really a lil cocky fucker like that for real..

If I remember right I think I did see a documentary that said Bruce used to run around with thugs whoopin ass back in the day.

just watched both over the weekend. I thought the first was way better then the second. Some of the fighting scenes were pretty amazing. Excellent stuff. Not sure how historically accurate any of it was, but entertaining nonetheless.

Yip Man 1 - 8/10
Yip Man 2 - 6.5/10
