What would it be about?

Please feel free to go into detail. I'm just curious to see what other people find "intresting" enough that they think others would enjoy reading about it as well. what would make your story sell compared to everyone elses? would love be involved? what would be your target audiance? what would be the main plot, or would there be several plots? etc?

I would write mine similar to Catcher in the Rye. My novel would be about a kid the same age as Holden, the main characther in Catcher in the Rye. Basically going through some shit in life and how he deals with it. Obviously it wont follow the same plot as Catcher in the Rye but same theme.

I have ideas that I have been brainstorming, I just have to now connect the dots. I want to incorporate experiences of my life into the book, some way.

whats your ideas?

I had an old idea a few years back to write about a girl addicted to coke in a very diffirent strange world. I really haven't found what the plot will be yet, most of my brainstorming creates scenery & charachtors. the web to weave them all together has yet to be drawn.

a couple years ago, i wrote a sem-autobiographical story about a kid and his friend and a night they go through together, driving around, partying, police, that sorta stuff...the only untrue thing is that it didnt all happen in one night, but thats the point to the story, i guess...in that all of this stuff that happened in the story occured on a single night in a lame town.

I don't think I could write fiction since I don't have an eye for detail. It'd probably be a book about sports or something.

I'd write a story about 19 terrorist hi-jacking 4 airplanes (from different locations) and slamming them into towers. I'd call it "9-11" so it would forever be etched in the memory of the citizens....

Wait didn't somone already write that??? Ahhh yeah they did my bad. It's the GREATEST work of fiction the 21st century will EVER encounter!

I have lots of ideas but not the discipline to sit down and "weave them together" as you so eloquently put it. Mostly everyday stories of people caught up in various way by the system. Sort of like Crime & Punishment by Doestovesky or something "Kafkaesque" if you know what I mean.

I don’t really care for fiction that much besides reading the bible every now and then, but I suppose a story a good story would be about a young man who grew up under a very religious (Christian) family his entire life, who slowly and slowly starts to loose faith after a series of tragic events. At the end he would realize that he doesn’t need religion to be happy. It seems there have been similar stories told, but always at the end he “finds Jesus” or his faith, this would be the opposite ending.

Or, perhaps a story about a serial killer, but instead of the usual story told by the police officer or investigator, the story would be told from the perspective of the killer.

Iam a Sci Fi nut and I really like the idea of ancient civilizations. Also the plot of earth being divided into sectors or quadrants that some look like peaceful places while others are more destroyed. Its kind of like Big O. I have characters just havent started it yet. Going to after this semester is done. To much homework to concentrate on a novel.

Prove the Bible is Ficton.
