I need to know what the best mics are and how much they cost. where to get them for a good deal.As far as beat making and editing, I presently have Magix Music Studio 7 on my pc...is there a better one or am I fine with what I have? Dude has some sick ass lyrics and a killa delivery. been spittin since '98 and now has the money to put some undaground shit 2gether. any and all help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks- Str8

If you are serious about putting out an album..you should buy beats and pay for studio time....especially if you want it done right...No offense..but with magix..wich is cool, and question on mic tells me you have a very limited if no experience at all.By the time you buy descent software..mic pre.breakout box..etc..you could have paid for studio time..and have it sounding right.

If you have to ask these kinds of questions, you're not ready to engineer anything. I'd recommend you pay for studio time somewhere and get more familiar with the process & equipment before you start buying stuff. It isn't cheap to get a good solid quality sound and you should be more knowledgable before you start investing money into gear. A lot of people make that mistake.

Also, if you do decide to start buying, make sure the advice you're following is coming from people who actually do it for a living. I see a lot of cats on the internet handing out advice like its candy on halloween and most of them don't know what the fuck they're talking about.
