Artists understand this and I can imagine that some lose incentive because the ROI just isn't there. It can be compared to working for days and not getting paid...

With this in mind, resourceful artists that want to stay relevant are quickly learning alternative ways to monetize their influence allowing them to give their music away...


I don't know exactly why Fresh only dropped a few tracks but hey, its just music. If you like the artist/song, why not support his movement and buy his music?

They sell bootleg CD's and back in the day, tapes so why is digital any different? Bootleg is bootleg and ESPECIALLY hurting our scene by the "fuck it I'll just get it for free" attitude. Sorry to break the news breh, but studio time, artwork, beats, gas TO the studio etc are NOT free....
