Hue/Saturation & Burn/dodge tool question...

Hue/Saturation question:
I wanna know...how do you hue an image without desaturating it? Normally when you hue it, it takes away the normal coloring and just leave the hue. Is there anyway U can do this without desaturating it?
Burn & Dodge Tool question:
With the dodge tool...how would you go about brightening a certain part of an image without it looking like youre painting it?
With the burn tool...how do you darken the picture without the colors looking to burned out?

Hue/Saturation:

Try applying it only to the sections you want instead of the whole image.


Burn & Dodge:

Lower the amount and apply it gradually.

Normally when I hue a selection, it dont look right. It dont seem to blend well. It look like you just spray painted that part, it doesnt really fade into the picture

Try changing the blend mode to a soft light or somethin that will blend with the rest of the image.
