How do you format a zip disk for .wav files?

I have a Roland digital recorder that records to zip250 disks, I have tried formatting the disk multiple times, so I can do a .wav conversion but my recorder keeps reading "Not a .wav disk!" Anybody know how?

I have no choice. I bought the recorder awile ago when it was still good technology, now I'm stuck with it until some sucker buys it off of ebay...

You may have to format it to the FAT32

wow.. a zip drive! thats a trip i was thinkin about my old zip drive. i guess those never took off..eh the drives always crashed.
