HELP:What Recording Software Do I Need??

What recording software do you suggest I get to want record on a labtop? For Instance I would get pro tools but I know that thats made for apple computers.Let me know what you suggest that I buy so I can get me a studio up an running ASAP.I need opnions on paticular mic as well as recording software.

You can run pro tools on a pc. I run PT on a pc, and so do many other people.

Yeah if you can afford it, get Pro Tools along with the Hardware and your good to go man, good luck to ya.
