having car problems

i have a 1977 impala and that shit dont start but the engine turns over but fuel is not reaching the carb.. i replaced the fuel pump n filter but it still dont start any help?

You may need to get your carb rebuilt.

You may wanna check your engine coil and plug wires. I had that same problem with a few of my older model cars before....

what did you do to find out that fuel wasnt reaching carb?

pour some gas in your carb.and check your lines.if your cars been sittin you can have build up from the break down of the gas and that shit will clog it up...........

Buy a new car...that usually does the trick,,,

just get some carb cleaner open up the throttle and spray a little down the carb then hit the key and see if it fires. if not, pull a plug wire see if your getting spark.

i poured some gas in the carb and it started with that for like a secornd or two then it died but the engine still cranks n turns over but there is no gas reaching the carb

disconnect the fuel line at the inlet to the pump and see if fuel comes out. no need to turn it over. if there is fuel, disconnect the fuel line at the carb and turn the motor over and see if theres fuel. And just to double check there is fuel in the tank correct.
