The movie looks dope! I read this book probably 20 years ago & it was one of those that always stuck with me.

Leonardo is the perfect choice for Gatsby. Tobey Maguire is also a perfect choice as Nick Carraway. Im hoping its not a musical.

I read this in school and hated it. Saw the movie and hated it. But actually have marginally high hopes for this movie. I'm surprised they didn't throw Ryan Gosling in there for Gatsby

I didnt like the music. director from moulin rogue and i heard jay z did the score...way too many Jay Z songs and it didnt feel right whatsoever. the new sound with the old 20s film like moulin rogue. other than that it was great, maybe about 30-45min too long but i enjoyed it.

^^^^^what the fuck is so great about Jay-z anyway??? what about his music is so inspiring that it needs to be included in a movie set during a time period where he didnt exist? first it was 42, now this movie...goddamn that sounds dissapointing. FUCK jay-z. most overrated rapper of all time.

I never got Jay-Z although I like Reasonable Doubt. Everybody always says "hes so consistant!". But dropping consistently mediocre albums with little replay value your entire career doesn't put you in the "greatest rapper alive" category in my book.


Anyway, I just came to say I still haven't decided if I want to see this or not but that Beyonce & Andre 3000 track from the soundtrack is dope.

don't underestimate Jay. Some of his albums have been 5 star classics like Reasonable Doubt and Dynasty. Dude doesn't have a whack album which is impressive considering how many he has put out.

Is he the greatest since Big and Pac. Maybe not. But dude deserves his daps.

It was a decent movie, and I agree about Jay-Z...other than putting himself in the spotlight his songs had no business in a movie like this. I liked the visuals the most.
