doubt there are too many fans here but I thought I'd make a thread anyway.

I was really into this genre years ago (especially when I was doing x) and still listen occasionally. Shit like Infected Mushroom (early stuff), Hallucinogen, Doof, Astral Projection, etc.

Typically I was into mostly the darker shit, like Darshan.

Infect Mushroom, before they turned faggot, made some incredible music, nothing else sounded like them, it was truly original. Listen to the first couple of minutes of this track and you'll see how unique their sound was:

Bust A Move imo is truly a masterpiece. It wont make any sense if you just skip through it but if you're lit and listen from the beginning to the end its mind blowing:

I actually saw Infected Mushroom live at a rave in the famous, but at the time abandoned Rainier Beer brewery in Seattle before it was bought by Tully's coffee. That was a trip.

Shpongle is some of the more popular Goa out there, it's much more chill and relaxing typically, I'm not into all of their shit cuz frankly it can get pretty weird but again some shit is dope, especially if you're coming down on E or in a chill mood:

Hallucinogen is widely known, in a way a bit like infected mushroom. Here is one of their classics:

I never liked any of that vocal shit, some trance was dope though. rabbit in the moon I recall had some vocal shit that was dope, but then again they were fucking crazy. saw them live a couple times, nothing like it. I think that's still psychedelic trance though.

I remember being so fucked out of my mind on E and mescaline in some corner at a rave, they played this trance by Joshua Ryan called Pistolwhip which was a track I heard before but never fucked up, man I lost my marbles. I was seeing giant florescent green spiders running around as it was, shit was insane. Then I recognized the track it was like the gods had spoken to me lmao. shit was dope though, the place went wild after the build up. Probably sounds retarded now

that's why I like goa/psytrance cause it isn't repetitive, especially shit like infected mushroom where the start of the song is completely different then the middle and the end, it's almost like classic music in a way. The one thing that stays constant is the unce unce unce lol

i had an infected mushroom mix that i made in high school & my buddy had a trance cd that ive tried to find on the internet since then called Eddie X - Glow Stix. we'd get super high and listen to them occasionally & space out. i never really got into psytrance/trance deep but it was great every once in a while.

ive downloaded the last couple new infected mushroom albums for old times sake and they sound almost nothing like they used to. pretty disappointing

oh man, the new infected mushroom shit is embarrassingly bad. I guess that's what you'd call selling out. They have lots of vocals, fluffy pussy ass shit. I don't even know what genre of music it is. They totally switched up their style of music. Most everyone hates them now. But their old shit was amazing, nothing else really touches their shit as far as creativity and changing the game goes.
