Swallow the Sun is one of the best bands at what they do, but I'll do my best with melodic death/doom bands. Also, Dead Blue could probably give you some good suggestions.

Have you tried this band?

Also try Ablaze in Hatred. I'll upload one of their albums when I get the chance.

yeah sure. i did download half the thread, most of the doom/sludge shit and that swallow the sun amazed me so much that im asking for more like im addicted
the other ones that i liked a lot was that "Hellveto" tha "Erhabenheit" "Stormlord" and so on,
im gonna check this last one u posted Thanks in advance!

Which Hellveto did you like? They're one of my favorite bands and all of the albums (there are like 17 of them!) are awesome.

Also, did you listen to Moonsorrow? You should like them if you liked Stormlord.

Anyhow, I'll try to find more death/doom that you might like.

Since DAWN OF ASHES arrival in 2001, the band’s goal has been to dominate the music scene with a sonic force so vile and evil the listener will be both entranced and terrorized by the sheer ferocity the band delivers. DAWN OF ASHES does so by conjuring new sights and sounds into the world of extreme melodic-death metal, an ambitious feat that will have to be experienced to be believed when Genocide Chapters is unleashed on September 14, 2010 with a major tour in support of the album beginning November 5th with Dimmu Borgir.

1. Conjuration Of The Maskim’s Black Blood 3:07
2. Nyarlathotep’s Children Of The Void 3:20
3. Seething The Flesh In The River Of Phlegethon 4:06
4. Transformation Within Fictional Mutation 4:26
5. The Ancient Draining Room 4:01
6. Reanimation Of The Dark Ages 1:54
7. London’s Anthem For The Pleasure Of Mutilation 3:52
8. Sacrilegious Reflection 3:54
9. God-Like-Demon 4:56
10. Carnal Consummation In The Empty Space 4:57
11. Epilogue-Beginning Of The End 4:54

I heard some songs of him on youtube and downloaded both the albuns (i think) that you posted here, the fact that the guy is a one man band (i think you said it here) makes it look more impressive, really talented musician
I willl try this band "Moonsorrow", My memory sucks, but i think i heard some cuts from them. The dope part about that Stormlord is the vocalist that uses that guttural vocals and that screaming high pitched voice, dont know if many vocalists can, or actually do that, but sound dope.
If you like swallow the sun check out katatonia (of course) and camotoze vigil
i will check them man, thankz.

Hows the read on that Precious Metal? Been lookin for a good history book on heavy metal to read.

Early this year I ran into a book, skimmed through it quick, about how heavy metal played a influence on society. One part it talked about how some peoples, and musicians, did some murders N church burnings. Cant remember what the name of the book but it was reallly thick.

The book is fucking awesome. It's not a "history book on heavy metal", it's just the stories behind each one of those albums I posted, by way of interviews with the members of the band that were apart of making the record. It's got some of the best albums of all time (IMO), and it paints a good picture how the band came to make said album. I'd strongly recommend it, I think the last time I checked you can get it on Amazon for barely more then the price of shipping (approx $3-4).

LOL at me, taking the time to put up links to 25 CLASSIC metal albums and only getting 1 prop. Fuck you guys....smh
