They also released a live album about a month ago. It is call The Mars Volta - Scab Dates

It is an amazing fucking album...if you don't have it pick it up.

I don't know about the most eclectic...

I got all the albums you named except that Kaos - Hello Stranger (never heard of him/them.)

They are all good but not my favorites of the year. Actually you could add Clap Your Hands Say Yeah to my list of favorites. That is a really great cd.

I buy on average around 10 cds a week so there are prob. a few I am forgetting right now. I just posted my favorite rock albums of the year btw.

Just wondering what groups in peoples replies do you consider "crotch rock."

bayside: s/t (bop bop for now, torchers of the damned)

deftones: b-sides and rarities (please please please give me what i want, crenshaw punch)

armor for sleep: what to do when your dead ( awkward last words, i have been right all along, stay on the ground)

^^ haha you got the Bayside bootleg. I think Bop Bop became They Look Like Strong Hands. I'm goin to see Armor for Sleep in March with Chiodos, can't wait for that shit. Dope list, forgot about Deftones too.
