These four emerging producers in the Kansas City area will be featured on the summer 2010 Demencha. While waiting for last minute content to come in before we go to print, I decided to take some audio (mp3) snippets of the interviews I did with each of them and put them up on the demencha blog for you guys to hear. Most of these audio quotes will not appear in the producers’ respective articles, so consider these quotes as some bonus material. The summer 2010 Demencha Magazine will be out very soon.
In DR+’s snippet, he talks about why his music is influenced more by paintings and visual artwork than by him simply listening to other people’s music.
Norrit’s snippet details why he uses Fruity Loops, and cites how this production program caused one of the biggest “booms” in recent British dance music.
In Church Boi’s snippet, he talks about how he got into making music and the era/style that influenced him most.
B-Stee’s snippet has him trying to clear up the style of “club music” that he specializes in.
