i was calling someone on my cell today and after 1 ring i heard a click, like someone just activated a tap or some shit

^ Ya. I've been having that shit happen 4 years. Even after getting different cell phones, but keeping the same number. My old Ethnic Studies teacher used to work for a phone company, and he said, what they used to do was listen in to people's phone calls to check the "sound quality" and when you hear the "clicking" sound, that means it's tapped.

Basically, clicking sound means it's tapped.
