CAR AUDIO WIRES?

I'm gonna get my old system put in my new car n I was wondering if anyone knows shit about wires like the fuck is the difference between 4 and 8 gauge for amp kits and what is 8 or 12 AWG for speaker wire? I wanna get the best wires so my existing beat can hit harder... THX

The lower the number, the fatter the wire.

4 runs from your battery to the distribution block/amp (for subs).

8 runs from the distribution block to the amp (for highs).

8 or 12 speaker wire is the same thing...size of the wire.

You should run 0 gauge from your battery though.
