i was already losing interest with call of duty around the time of the first black ops. i think this game is the nail in the coffin. not going to touch it. even more so after seeing the terrible gameplay footage. its just like every other call of duty game ever except now you have to move a drone very 10 steps...awesome.

This is a rumor but could be a big game changer for the COD series if its true.

DEVELOPING STORY..
On June 6th, several members of the media were granted access to Black Ops 2′s brand new multiplayer are were kept under a NDA (non-disclosure agreement) and were not allowed to discuss anything they saw. Appearently 2 people didn’t get the memo.. You remember a couple days ago when a member of IGN posted 2 photos (new MP H.U.D. and player list) over Instagram which were removed a few minutes later..
Now according to MP1st, a member from Shacknews, Garnet Lee (who was invited to the MP play session), uploaded a podcast which REVEALED massive changes made to Black Op 2 multiplayer. The podcast has now been edited and re-uploaded and all the details have been removed.
Create-A-Class 3.0:
-10 point allocation system replaces primary/secondary/grenades slot system Guns, attachments, equipment, perks take up allocation points.

*ex.) you could have 2 primary weapons which would use most of your points and only have 1 perk.
-Taken out “slot system”.
-Option to start with no weapons, load up on perks and equipment.
-You start out with 10 choices/options per class.
-New wager match variations.
-New “Friend/Foe identifier” attachment.
David Vonderhaar once said in a behind the scenes video, “create a class is sweet.. choose what’s the most important things to you, and forget about the things that are not important…This will open up doors for playstyles you have not seen. It’s going to be fantastic.”

While it sounds like single player well be more interactive with the different paths you can go, multi player will still be the same shit. I think BO mp shits on MW2/3 mp, but even with new guns and new perks and different kill streaks ( even if they introduce new perk and kill streak systems ) the game will be the same at its core and you will still have the same shitty community playing it, and that will ruin the game once again.
I liked MW2 better than Black ops, but Black Ops shit on that new MW3 that game was weak as fuck

Not feeling that seeing people come around the corner bullshit, they always manage to fuck these games off somehow.

Thats only a small piece though, need to see the whole picture before I can really judge it.

To kick off the morning to a wonderful GamesCom week, loads of Black Ops 2 multiplayer info has been released! Tease yourself with new info, footage and a few screenshots.

Official Black Ops 2 coverage doesn't start until tomorrow (Aug. 15th), but a few lucky press outlets were able to get hands on with the game early! Not only do they have their own reviews and previews of the multiplayer, but there is also never before seen gameplay footage and screenshots now available. We've collected loads of confirmed facts about Black Ops 2 MP and also created a playlist for all the associated gameplay videos!

Info Recap:

New Features

- League Play is a new skill-based matchmaking system that sorts players into divisions (based on wins).

- Combat Training is confirmed to return.

- "Codcasting" allows players to shoutcast games with precise controls over camera, HUD, and additional UI features (heat maps, scoreboards, overhead views).

- Live streaming is confirmed and is a "work in progress". Easily stream your games to the web and mobile devices (use a USB camera to capture your face).

- Live stream is delayed by 15 seconds to prevent cheating.

- Supports PIP (picture in picture).

- Guaranteed 60 frames per second.

- Slightly slower movement and climb speed.

- Six team factions:

- 55 levels of ranking with 10 prestige levels.



Game Mode and Maps

- 2 New confirmed modes: Multi Team (up to 6 teams with any configuration of 18 players) and HardPoint (like KoH) where you control map points.

- Wager matches and custom gametypes confirmed.

- 4 maps have been officially revealed:

Aftermath (downtown destroyed LA)
Turbine (coastal cliffside)
Cargo (dense shipping yard with active cranes which move containers and change the map layout)
Yemen (back ally town map)


Create-A-Class

- Emblem editor confirmed.

- Create-a-class features a 10 point allocation system (as seen in the trailer).

- Create-a-class unlocks at Level 4 (with 4 tokens unlocked).

- Allowed 3 "wildcards" which all you to double up on perks, primaries, or triple up on attachments (6 Wildcards available).

- No perks modify the behavior of the gun (must use attachments to do that).

- The perk Ghost now only makes you invisible to UAVs if you are on the move (campers will light up).

- The perk Fast Hands lets you swap weapons faster.

- The perk Hard Wired makes you immune to Counter UAV.

- The perk Cold Blooded removes the benefits of an enemy’s Target Finder sight and some sniper scopes.

- Assault Shield (seen in trailer) can be deployed and provides mobile cover (defending your team will earn you score points).

- Shock Charge (seen in trailer) stuns enemies.

- Millimetre Scanner is a pulsing weapon attachment which helps you see targets through walls/smoke.

- Target Finder is a scope which highlights enemies with a red square (like an AC-130).

- Select Fire attachment allows you to change the fire rate (first few burst shots are more powerful)

- Raging Judge revolver fires shotgun shells.

- M1216 is a new semi-automatic shotgun that re-chambers every four rounds.

- Laser sigh attachment increases hip fire accuracy.

- A weapon attachment called Fast Mag lets you reload faster (only that weapon)

- Earn 1 "token" (not COD Points) for ever level rank. Spend these tokens on loadout gear (over 100+ items, some unlocked at later levels).

- Must prestige to unlock all items.

- Earning Medals for "do something cool" gives you more EXP.

- No "quickscoping" (up for judgement).

Score Streaks

- Score Streaks are earned by getting kills and completing Scoring Events which give you points (and stacks a "score streak").

- Can earn multiple Score Streaks at once (if you maintain the streak).

- Score Streaks reset on each death.

- A normal kill nets you 100 points.

- Grabbing an enemy flag nets you 150 points.

- Scoring with an enemy flag nets you 200 points.

- Earn 25 extra points when you call in a UAV and your teammates get kills.

- Earn more points for capping a flag compared to killing or getting a headshot.

- Guardian (seen in trailer) is a turret that emits stun waves (which causes damage and slow movement).

- The A.G.R. is an AI controlled Score Streak, but you can take over control.

- Hellstorm missile is similar to a Predator missile except you can bust it into smaller projectiles.

- Hunter Killer drone is called in via your wrist control and dive bombs enemies.

- Escort Drone is an AI controlled air support that relays information back to you.

- Swarm delivers a pack of Hunter Killer drones which will dive bomb throughout the map (seen in trailer).

- MQ-27 Dragonfire (Quadrotor from the trailer).

- Gunship (returning from previous COD).
