Why do people respond to shit like that? IronLungs is clearly a fag just trying to get people huffing and puffing about something senseless. Takes away from the main point of the thread which is that it's fairly shitty the title gets defended like once every 18 years, injuries or no injuries.

It really does suck that injuries postpone so many fights and make some fights not happen. For those that don't like MMA or haven't seen a card in a while, you really should watch one soon. Just like b-buzz said, there have been less lay and pray bullshit fights. Ever since the merge of WEC/UFC, every card has been exciting. The addition of featherweights and bantams have brought a lot more exciting wars and knockout endings

depends on the length of the fight. a 12 round bad boxing fight can be very boring (36 min). So is a 5 round boring mma fight (25 min). Shorter rounds in boxing, longer in mma. Some boxing matches are 12 rounds, 10 rounds, 8 rounds, 6 rounds, 4 rounds. MMA has various lengths too.

Personally though, I'll take a great boxing fight over a great mma fight any day. There isn't anything in mma that comes close to Corrales-Castillo, imo. That's me though and I'm obviously biased.

It's gonna all come down to opinion. I watch plenty MMA and I'd agree with 2-0 that, for me, the great fights in MMA don't compare to what I feel watching great fights in boxing. There's really no way to argue what someone likes better, it just is.
