you need a mod chip and i've seen some that are on cdr but mostly dvdr and i don't really know how they do it...

you need a dvd-r for the most part with a dvd-r you can burn your own games.

Beware if you want to play on X-Box Live then do not get your box modded, if you do your xbox will be banned and you'll have to buy another xbox to play on live.

Yeah, but give it time and there will be a fix so you can play a modded system online.

There is a way but it seems too hard to do, it involves opening the xbox and messing around with it.

It's simple, just get the X-ecutor 2 Pro chip.
It has a flashable bios that can be reflashed if Microsoft zaps your Xbox.
It will also trick Xbox Live into thinking it's a legit Xbox unit.
The X-ecutor 2 Pro will be out later next year. You can get the X-ecuter 2 Lite that comes out in a few days. The only problem is that the bios isn't flashable yet.
Wait for the Pro version.

As far as burning your own games, you need Evolution X installed in your Xbox hard drive. It's the ONLY way to create your backups.
