But when the dude is turning away from his opponent after hard shots, you give the ref no choice but to stop it.

Just read about and saw some highlights. Froch knocked down HARD first round. Groves apparently beating Froch. I didn't see the stoppage but read Groves was fading a bit, Froch lands a few punches ref stops fight very prematurely.

Froch will need to rematch him ASAP to save his reputation. Or Maybe Andre Ward vs Groves

Sounds like it was a "Calzaghe stoppage". UK refs are the absolute worst when it comes to stopping fights. A

Exhibit A - Calzaghe vs Manfredo jr lol:

Definately not one of those types. Groves was looking sharp the pretty much the entire fight, throwing nice combinations and slipping punches. Froch was just able to connect when Groves' activity slowed down. If Groves would have tried to tie up Froch (like he was doing a couple rounds prior to the stoppage), the out come would have been different. But instead, he ate some hard shots and turned around and hunched over while Froch kept throwing. Good stoppage

Good fight. Froch was getting beat around the ring. Groves was winning bad stoppage but like TC said tie up when you're hurt. Will Froch want that rematch?? If Froch is as tuff as he talks then Groves should be getting a rematch.

No way man. No way! One of the worst stoppages I've seen watch it again:

Couple of bangers about to start.

If Stevenson wins he's a serious contender for fighter of the year.

The Black Russian is extremely skilled but can his chin hold up against the Russian killer Kovalev? Did he learn from his past mistake? He will have a height, reach and speed advantage over Kovalev but keeping him at bay is no easy task.

I got Stevenson by KO inside 5 and Kovalev by KO inside 9.
