Golovkin: "Right, right, you know this, just I feel my... this my combination, just, this is my present for him, you know just this is my position, this is not my power no, this is combination, this is box. I have good position, I did."

Lou DiBella on the possibility of Martinez/Golovkin: "He's not going to come off a 14-month layoff and fight this animal."

"Without a shadow of a doubt, he's definitely the best kid I've ever fought." - M @MattM acklin

Golovkin-Macklin punch stats

...................GOLOVKIN................MACKLIN
Landed.......58..............................29
Thrown......116............................118
Pct.............50%............................25%

"I heard that shot," Lou DiBella, Macklin's promoter, said. "It sounded like something cracked. That was the hardest body shot possibly I've ever seen."

DiBella said the knockout reminded him of Roy Jones' memorable one-shot body punch knockout of Virgil Hill, which caused a broken rib.

"That was one of the hardest body shots I've seen since that knockout," DiBella said. "Golovkin is a beast. He's an animal. This kid is going to demolish people for awhile. In terms of ability, he is an absolute animal. Matt was game and fighting, but Golovkin is super strong. He's a great fighter. I give him all his props. He needed to show it against a real guy. That was one of the great body shots I've ever seen, and I've been around this game for 25 years."

Yeah man Golovkin punches so damn hard. That shot probably made macklin cry. Ive seen Brandon Gonzalez fight here in Fairfield before and I feel he got robbed with a draw. Willie Nelson started out impressive with quick hard shots but could keep it up and got worked in the last like 4-5 rounds. that Argentinian had heart. Damn good card.

Golovkin is like a fucken bully in the ring. Donaire was also but not nearly as effective as Golovikin is. Maybe helps the hand speed aint quite the same of Golovkins opponents at his weight.

Yea dude is a beast but lets be honest. I dont think much of Macklin though. I still think GGG needs to be tested but I think he is the real deal and Serg may be in trouble if he isnt on top of his game on fight night if they ever fight. Got Em!!

He was crazy impressive. Not just the power, the composure and the way he set up his shots was most impressive to me.

Side note, my homeboy from the gym won this weekend but got a decision. he's 9-0 now with 6 ko's. Crowd was on it's feet for his fight.

Marroquin lost again. That dude is done I think.

Macklin is a strong durable fighter. He easily beat Felix Sturm and he gave Sergio a tough ass fight for twelve rounds.

GGG has fought even better guys in the amateurs out boxing guys like Andre Dirrell, Daniel Geale and brutally KOd Bute. You dont go about 300-5 and not get tested by some of the worlds finest.
