2-0-Sixx @2-0-Sixx No shame in cashing in big time and losing to GGG either. He can even get Canelo to fight after September really and cash in on his last fight with him. Cotto can get more than $20 mill if he does both fights this year and maybe that's what he wants

If he could do that, don't you think he would want to fight Canelo first?

My guess is Cotto fights someone like Bradley next, then negotiate again with Canelo for September, or try to rematch the winner of Mayweather Pacquiao. Especially if Mayweather wins I'm sure Floyd would want to become "middleweight champion" and then retire. Regardless, GGG isn't in the plans.

But the thing is Bradley vs Cotto won't sell. It won't reach 300k on ppv. Cotto wants ppv money. If he fights GGG it can reach over 300k. That's what he wants. If it is vs Bradley it will be a free fight on HBO. I do believe the Bradley rumors but let's say he was in talks with Floyd about a possible rematch, don't you think Cotto was also thinking how much money he's really worth? Financially, it would hurt his pockets big time if he is to fight Bradley with the possibility of even losing in a non ppv fight.

Ggg not even ready for cotto with the skills he showed last night. He does that same combo over and over. No versatility imo, cotto is a better boxer. Ggg relies on power too much

Ok so you're officially saying Cotto beats Golovkin? I want to make sure everyone can see trips @trips says Golovkin loses to Cotto.

Of course it's easy to say that knowing damn well Cotto will never step in the ring with him.

And trips do you remember Cotto vs Margarito1? That relentless pressure Margarito had destroyed Cotto. Now imagine a Middleweight with heavier hands doing that to Cotto. Slaughter.

For all the slamming Cotto is getting it's Canelo who was the idiot in these negotiations. It would've been stupid to have Cotto Vs. Canelo on 05/09, that's way to big of fight.

It doesn't really matter who Cotto fights next and at what weight it is. If the WBC stays true to what they've been saying then they'll force Cotto Vs. Golovkin or the WBC title will likely go straight to Golovkin since they just made him the "interim" champion.

I like Murray's honesty:

“He was so strong, I just couldn’t keep him off. He's a good fighter. I just couldn't keep him off. Even though I caught him with a couple of good shots and caught his attention, he was still coming and still coming and throwing big shots. He would occasional catch me and you stop throwing the shots you want to throw because you start thinking 'he's going to catch me with one of these and put me out of there,' Murray told reporters.

"He is a tough fighter. I trained twelve weeks for this fight, I couldn't have done more. He proved that he's the best middleweight in the world and I think I'm the second best middleweight in the world. I'm just going to have a rest for a couple of weeks and see where I go from there. He hit hard, I could feel his power. But it wasn't really his power. It was his pressure with the power. I felt that I had a few good spells, but I just couldn't keep him off me."

What about Cotto/Margarito 2? Got Em!!
After his eyeball was destroyed? It took a doctor from Venezuela or some shit to be flown in to be medically cleared to fight. The fight wasn't OKd until 24 hours before the fight lol. That's how shady the situation was.The fight nearly didn't happen. As soon as he got hit in n the eye it was swollen and almost completely shut only after a couple rounds. That obviously didn't happen in the first fight.

rofl cmon man, do you really believe that? GGG would smother him to resignation within 8 rounds or even much earlier. Cotto can pop him with some solid shots and we know GGG can take them as well as dish them out. I have my doubts with a naturally small ass Cotto, though.

^There's no proof that he used plaster for that fight, but the biggest thing I got from that fight is that when Cotto hits a guy with everything and the guy doesn't back down and still keeps going at him, Cotto eventually breaks down. Not saying GGG has an Iron Chin like Margarito, but it was Margarito's chin that made the biggest difference in his fight with Cotto. The fact that he kept coming and never backed down is what eventually got to Cotto.

Shane Mosley beat Margarito because Shane Mosley was a bad style for Margarito. Even if he had some type of plaster in his gloves Mosley beats him. Why? Mosley clinched Margarito anytime he got close, and he was constantly beating Margarito to the punch. Mosley brought the fight to Margarito, not the other way around. Cotto allowed Margarito to walk him down, he was constantly on his back foot and losing energy trying to get Margarito off him. Mosley didn't fight going backwards, he went straight after Margarito and pummeled him.

So imagine Cotto, after taking some hard shots, trying to box fighting Golovkin backwards. The relentless pressure from Golovkin would be too much.

And yes we know you're not sold on Golovkin, you've never once had a positive thing to say about him, ever, going back to the first post you've ever made about Golovkin.
