FLOYD MAYWEATHER EXPECTS TO EARN $70 MILLION AFTER WIN OVER MARCOS MAIDANA

FLOYD MAYWEATHER EXPECTS TO EARN $70 MILLION AFTER WIN OVER MARCOS MAIDANA

He was guaranteed to earn a minimum of $32 million for his latest performance, but the man known as "Money" expects to get more than double that amount when the final numbers are tallied. "$32M for 36 minutes. I'm waiting for the PPV numbers to come in so I can make another $38M on the back-end. Making it a grand total of $70M," Mayweather wrote in recent posts on his official Facebook and Twitter pages.

This past Saturday night, after 12 action-packed rounds, Mayweather added the WBA welterweight title to his trophy case after scoring a majority decision victory over game challenger Marcos Maidana. It was a gutsy performance for Maidana, who was credited with landing 221 punches on Mayweather, the most that any opponent has reportedly landed since Compubox began tracking his fights.

To put the numbers into perspective, the $32 million that Mayweather was guaranteed breaks down to $14,815 per second or $144,796 per punch over the course of the 12 rounds (36 minutes total). Depending on how those pay-per-view numbers turn out, those numbers could nearly triple. Not bad for a night's work.

NAAZIM RICHARDSON SAYS MAYWEATHER WASN'T SHOOK BY "ROUGH", "BULLY" TACTICS: "I DON'T THINK MAIDANA WON"

NAAZIM RICHARDSON SAYS MAYWEATHER WASN'T SHOOK BY

"Floyd has fought at such a high level that we scrutinize him on a different platform. Him and Maidana put on a real good fight, but I don't think Maidana won the fight," stated world-class trainer Naazim Richardson, who shared his thoughts Floyd Mayweather's performance in his unification bout with former champion Marcos Maidana this past Saturday. As far as Richarson is concerned, although Maidana had some success in roughing up Mayweather, he was never able to really faze the undefeated champion.

"Maidana was able to rough him up at times like people want to see Floyd roughed up, he was able to bully Floyd at times like people want to see Floyd bullied, but although Floyd may not be a big puncher, he is strong, man," Richardson explained. "He is a strong and well-conditioned athlete, so that nonsense won't shake him."

I called b.s. on that 70 million thing too. But there will be moron's that believe that and worship Floyd (and probably on this thread) and believe every word he says.
There's no need to lie either $32 million guaranteed is crazy. With upside possibly $40m give or take.

How much did he make against Canelo? Something like $70 million right? That did 2.2 million PPV buys.

Yeah, if I remember correctly. It's been awhile since I'd looked at these figures but the PPV company like INDemand takes a significant chunk, and combined with the cable provider it was at least 30% of the ppv revenue. Showtime/CBS gets a chunk, Golden boy gets a sizeable chunk. Even with owning Mayweather Promotions, that's not going to bring in that kinda dough. Plus Haymon takes a very healthy chunk of money too. No chance this PPV does well enough to get him anywhere near that much. The 32 mill alone would be huge even with PPV money.

Yeah I'd definitely favor GGG but since Chavez is having legal issues and out for a while, Martinez is fighting Cotto and Froch-Groves, Kessler would be the next best thing.

The only thing I'm not sure of is the date. GGG has a date in July and I think Kessler wants to return a lil later in the year, like Oct/Nov. So that probably means GGG vs whoever the fuck is available in July, and if still no Sergio/Chavez, then Kessler.

The WBC banned Chris Arreola (big nipple) for swearing during a post fight interview.

I think what made it worse was that team Molina took offense to it:

Also the "Can Man" bit was a little more funny, this time he said "I just beat the shit out of a Mexican". Lol I'm sure a few people were a lil ticked off

Garcia going up to 147 after his next fight right? It could effect Broner. Probably Broner is gonna have to fight Matthysse sooner then later. He better apologise. Maybe he could fight Gamboa, thats if Gamboa wins his upcoming fight
