Best Marvel Vs. Capcom type game for PS2

What is the best game to get for PS2 with the most Marvel Comics characters in it? I know there are a bunch of Marvel Vs. Capcom and Street Fighter games... what do you guys recommend?

i prefer capcom vs. snk 2 myself, but MVC2 is a classic as well

I downloaded MVC2, played it for a day and tossed it in the garbage. What a waste. However it is FAR superior to SAMURAI SHODOWN 6. That game should be avoided at ALL cost........

^^^Thanks for the recommendation. It's just with all this talk about X-Men 3 and Spider Man 3 movies going on lately, made me really want to get down on some Marvel Vs. Capcom games. Thanks to everyone who responded!
