props to detroit, they are a solid team.

I still think Cutler is underrated as fuck. I think there was one single passing play the entire game where he didn't have 5 guys in his face. If it wasn't for cutler and forte that could have been a blow out.

bears o-line is absolutely pathetic. I mean the lions d-line is dope and all, but come on, that was an embarrassing performance plus they had like 90 false starts.

on the plus side can't wait till the lions vs green bay game on Thanksgiving. When was the last time anyone looked forward to a lions game while eating turkey? never?
It's not just your o line, your wrs suck balls, how many passes did they drop?? Also don't know if it is due to stamina and fatigue but your defense was also getting worked! Secondary couldnt cover for shit. D line hardly any pressure and your line backers were biting on everything. Oh well same ol overrated bears.

Well he got sacked 3 times. But was on the run pretty much every play. It was pathetic. If only we would of signed one of our best players Olin Kreutz. Cutler has to run pretty much when the ball is snapped. Can't set his feet and stay in the pocket. Cutler is VERY underrated. If Bears had an o-line, he would be a great QB
You got martz as an oc that going to get your qb sacked a lot! If your line is that bad Wtf are you doing making 5 and 7 step drops. Also with a guy like forte you stick to the run, he is to good to not eventually wear out a defense. Leave it to martz though to pass on every down.

2 former falcons starting on your oline, maybe 3? is garza still there?

you'll never win a game with guys like omiyale and shaffer on the oline. they are trash and how they are starting in the nfl is mind boggling

I disagree I am not impressed with Cutler. He's been in the league what? 5 years? He's never put it together. It's always some excuse. He always looks like shit against the Packers. He is not a great QB. I would venture to say he's overrated.
He's never had much to work with.

this isn't like playing Madden bro, if your team has one of the worst o-lines in the NFL you're not going to be a very good offense, period. There is no arguing that. Insert just about any QB in the NFL into the bears offense last night and you're going to either get the same result or 10x worse.

Like I said there aren't many QB's in the league that could have done what cutler did last night. He's a very tough guy for taking the amount of hits he takes, not too mention making some of the plays he's able to make

look i'm a David Carr fan (fresno state!) and feel he didn't do well in the league cuz he had no help. and was getting his ass sacked left and right on the texans. cutler is good but nowhere where i thought he would be (based on his hype from Denver).

He's been in the league 5 years and there's always some excuse holding him back. But you can pretend he's elite. You're a Bears fan you have to.

Is having one of the worst offensive lines in the NFL not a good excuse? lol give me a break! It doesn't get more legit than that. And he played good last night, it's not like he had a bad game and I'm making excuses for him. He had a solid game. Him and Forte were the ONLY good things going for them last night. Cutler made some incredible passes.

They are 2-3 not because of cutler. They are 2-3 because their o-line sucks and their defense, their bread and butter, is playing very poor.

Am I saying Cutler is Payton Manning or Aaron Rodgers? Hell no. What I'm saying is he is underrated. He gets a lot of flack which often times is unwarranted.

"Elite", how did that word find it's way into this thread? I didn't see 2-0-Sixx mention that word or even remotely imply Cutler is, "elite" lol

Underrated?? They don't make trades like this for underrated QBs

The Chicago Bears acquired disgruntled Denver Broncos quarterback Jay Cutler in a trade on Thursday afternoon, giving up quarterback Kyle Orton and first-round picks in 2009 (18th overall) and 2010, along with a third-round pick (84th overall) in 2009 to do it.

thanks for going back in time. I was totally unaware of how da bears got cutler, thanks, all this time I thought Lovie Smith gave birth to him.

Watch any sports media the past 2 years and every sports "expert" with exception of a couple guys completely trash Cutler. Not sure if you've been living under a rock or what. People flat out say he sucks and is a terrible QB and I'm saying that isn't the case at all, he's a very talented QB. Give him some protection maybe even some WR's and he'll shine.

I think he sucks. He always looks like he's all bored and doesn't give a shit either. One thing I'll say is he has no fear he'll keep chuckin it up for grabs. That's made me nervous before in close games against the Bears.

him looking bored or whatever doesn't make him suck. His demeanor and how he sucks with the press is why people hate him. But all of his teammates say he's a great leader and stand up for him time and time again so I'll take the players words over his demeanor any day.

Cutler does make too many mistakes, but he's still a solid QB. The Bears O-line is atrocious... and Cutler doesn't have many great weapons to throw to
